The war in the Middle East is expected to last 2–3 weeks, with the decisive factor being the position of the United States. However, Israel will try to influence the U.S. and may even attempt to prevent a ceasefire or peace.
Axar.az reports that Turkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan noted that assessments indicating differing positions between the U.S. and Israel have increased.
“This could lead to a longer war. While the war is ongoing, negotiations seem unlikely. But added that it is possible to declare a short-term ceasefire, begin negotiations during this period, and consider the possibility that parties may resume fighting if talks fail."
"Israel gives the impression it will not stop until key military and industrial targets are neutralized. Israel initiated the war, and assassinations continue," Fidan said.
"The problem is not the lack of plans to end the war. The problem is that Israel does not want peace. We emphasize this fact everywhere and at every opportunity,” Fidan added.
