The United States will dispatch a mission in April to comprehensively study ongoing processes in Georgia, Levan Makhashvili, chair of the European Integration Committee of the Georgian Parliament, said.
Axar.az reports, citing Georgian media, that "The U.S., as it implemented several visits before, will send another mission in April to study developments in Georgia and define common interests," Makhashvili said.
He noted that with each visit and meeting, relations are gradually being rebuilt with a specific agenda, and reassured the public that all steps are dictated by Georgia’s national interests.
"Where our interests coincide with U.S. interests, we will move forward on this common ground. The main priorities in Georgia are peace, stability, and economic development. It is around these interests, where we see common ground with the U.S., that we will take appropriate steps," Makhashvili added.
He also referenced recent diplomatic engagements, including various parliamentary visits and a phone call between the Georgian Prime Minister and the U.S. Secretary of State, emphasizing that cooperation with the U.S. will not compromise Georgia’s core priorities.
