Akcakoca Municipality mayor arrested over extortion claims

Fikret Albayrak, CHP member and mayor of Akcakoca Municipality in Turkiye’s Duzce province, who was detained yesterday on extortion allegations, has been arrested by a court.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that the mayor demanded large sums of bribes from several businesspeople.
