Azerbaijani PM meets with President of Slovakia

Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, met with President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini on July 15.

Axar.az reports that during the meeting, PM Ali Asadov emphasized that President Peter Pellegrini’s official visit to Azerbaijan, and the talks held in Shusha between the two countries’ heads of state, will provide a significant impetus to the development of Azerbaijan-Slovakia strategic partnership.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the participation of Slovak companies in the restoration and reconstruction projects implemented in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, including the construction of the Bash Garvand village of the Aghdam district.

PM Asadov highly appreciated Slovakia’s initiative to build a secondary school in Bash Garvand village as a gift to Azerbaijan and expressed gratitude for this contribution.

The sides hailed the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia in political, trade, economic, investment, energy, transport, humanitarian and other fields.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest and implementing new joint projects.
