An International Friendship and Culture Festival celebrating the national cultures and cuisines of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye and Italy took place in the Georgian town of Marneuli.
The event was jointly organised by the Azerbaijan House and the Integration Centre of Azerbaijanis in Georgia (GAIM), with support from Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The festival was designed to showcase the rich cultural heritage, traditional cuisine and customs of participating nations, while promoting intercultural dialogue, strengthening ties between communities and encouraging multicultural values.
Guests had the opportunity to sample traditional dishes from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye and Italy, while exhibitions displayed national costumes, musical instruments and items reflecting the cultural heritage of each country.
Addressing attendees, Azerbaijan House and GAIM Director Mahabbat Imanov described culture as one of the most powerful forces uniting people and emphasised that such initiatives play an important role in advancing mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation.
GAIM representative Zulfinaz Aliyeva highlighted that one of the festival's key goals was to foster multicultural values among young people and increase awareness of the cultural heritage and traditions of different nations.
At the conclusion of the event, participants were presented with educational brochures featuring information on the cultural heritage, traditional cuisine and customs of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Italy.
According to the organisers, the festival provided an important platform for deepening friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation among different peoples.
