Azerbaijan's Election Commission delegation heads to Albania to observe parliamentary polls

A delegation from Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has departed for Albania to monitor the country’s upcoming parliamentary elections, scheduled for May 11.

According to Azerbaijan's CEC, the delegation includes Deputy Chairman Rovzat Gasimov and Head of the Secretariat Department Ramin Nuraliyev, Caliber.Az reports.

The officials have already arrived in the Albanian capital, Tirana.

During the visit, Azerbaijani representatives are expected to hold meetings with officials from Albania’s Central Election Commission and other state authorities.

Discussions will focus on strengthening institutional ties between the two election bodies and exchanging expertise on various aspects of electoral management.

The delegation will also familiarise itself with the preparations for the vote and observe election-day procedures at polling stations across the country.
