Russian grain bound for Armenia to transit Azerbaijan today

A freight train carrying Russian grain to Armenia is set to depart today from the Bilajari Railway Station in Azerbaijan, transiting through Azerbaijani territory en route to its final destination.

The train consists of seven wagons transporting a total of 488 tonnes of grain intended for Armenia, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

After departing Bilajari, the train will cross into Georgia via the Böyük Kəsik station and will then continue toward Armenia.

This is not the first such transit. The previous shipment took place on February 4, when an eight-wagon freight train carrying 560 tonnes of Russian grain was dispatched to Armenia through Azerbaijan.
