A delegation led by Elchin Yusubov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, who is on an official visit to Romania, met with Florentin Nicolae Tuș, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania’s Maramureș region.
The meeting was attended by businessmen and local entrepreneurs from the Maramureș region.
The sides discussed prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan’s Garabagh region and Romania’s Maramureș region, as well as ways to expand business ties.
Florentin Nicolae Tuș, President of the Maramureș Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted that they are interested in establishing direct contacts and organizing reciprocal visits to increase trade turnover.
For his part, Elchin Yusubov provided detailed information about ongoing large-scale construction and infrastructure projects in Garabagh, the favorable conditions created for investors, and available tax incentives.
Touching upon the positive dynamics of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Romania, he noted that the development of interregional cooperation would create additional opportunities for further diversification of economic relations.
Elchin Yusubov invited businessmen and local entrepreneurs from Maramureș to visit Garabagh.
The sides also exchanged views on potential areas of cooperation.
As part of efforts to develop economic cooperation, the delegation led by Elchin Yusubov visited the “Aramis” factory in Maramureș, one of Europe’s major furniture manufacturers, and familiarized themselves with its production facilities.
The management of the furniture factory expressed interest in establishing cooperation with Garabagh and stated their intention to visit the region in the near future.
