Azerbaijan rounds out top five as Georgia’s international tourism soars

Tourism revenue in Georgia continues to rise alongside an increase in foreign visitors, with net income reaching $2 billion—an uptick of 2.7 percent compared to the same period last year.

Russia maintains its position as the leading source of tourists and highest overall spending in the country, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.

Trailing Russia, citizens of the European Union occupy second place in terms of tourism expenditure, despite their comparatively lower visitor numbers, reflecting a higher average spend per tourist.

Türkiye ranks third among visiting nations, while Azerbaijani tourists complete the top five, underscoring their significant role in Georgia’s tourism sector.
