Well, peace has really been part of President Donald Trump conception from the beginning, Michael Doran, a senior fellow at the Washington-based Hudson Institute told AZERTAC.
“Azerbaijan liberated its occupied territories during President Donald Trump’s first term. I think he's had an understanding from the beginning that better relations with Azerbaijan is in the American interest. I think it's great that President Trump can see the interests of the United States and the interests of Azerbaijan,” he noted.
The US expert mentioned that during the Global Media Forum in Khankendi, the President of Azerbaijan highlighted US President Donald Trump's position on peace. “President Trump sees that Azerbaijan is the gateway to Central Asia, and that Azerbaijan is crucial to the energy security of Europe,” Michael Doran said.
“I think that we're in for an era of peace and prosperity. Those who are against peace and prosperity are historically weak. I'm looking forward to really an era in which everyone is going to be a lot more secure and is going to get a lot richer,” the US expert emphasized.
