Images have emerged showing the destruction of an E-3G Sentry AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) aircraft following Iranian missile and drone strikes on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.

Axar.az reports, citing Fox News, the images were shared by U.S. open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysts, highlighting damage to the rear section of the aircraft’s rotating radar dome, which houses sensitive systems including antennas for the AN/APY-2 radar.

The strikes, confirmed by U.S. and Arab officials, also damaged multiple U.S. refueling aircraft and wounded 12 American service members.

The E-3G Sentry plays a key role in monitoring missiles, drones, and aircraft across the region and providing commanders with real-time situational awareness.

Given the limited number of these aircraft, the destruction represents a notable impact on U.S. operational capabilities in the region.
