Azerbaijan and Russia have maintained a positive trend in their economic relations despite challenges facing the global economy, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during an expanded meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on July 17.
"I am confident that today we will be able to discuss in detail the trade and economic block, an important element of which is the regular contacts of the Intergovernmental Commission, whose 24th meeting was held in April this year. In this context, we believe that despite all the difficulties existing in the global economy, the overall trend between our countries is positive. And today, we will probably focus more closely on the figures and indicators of 2025, as well as on the directions outlined for the near future," Bayramov noted, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
He said the humanitarian sphere had traditionally remained an important element of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.
"Naturally, we will be ready to discuss the entire range of regional and international issues of mutual interest, including our contacts and cooperation on international platforms," the minister said.
