At the European Canoe Sprint Championships for juniors and under-23 athletes held in Szeged, Hungary, Azerbaijan's Tatyana Smilovenko delivered a strong performance.
Axar.az reports that the Azerbaijani national team member finished among the medalists in the women's C1 500m event. Smilovenko crossed the finish line second in the A final, earning the silver medal.
It should be noted that this is Smilovenko's second European Championship medal representing Azerbaijan. Last year, she won bronze at the U23 European Championships in Pitesti, Romania.
