Ukraine has reportedly submitted a confidential list of military equipment it urgently requires to Germany, according to a report by the German newspaper Bild.
The request details a wide range of advanced weaponry and vehicles aimed at bolstering Ukraine’s defence capabilities. Among the key items requested are four IRIS-T missile systems, along with 1,500 missiles for the medium-range IRIS-T SLM system and 500 missiles for the short-range IRIS-T SLS system. The list also includes 200,000 rounds of ammunition for 40mm anti-aircraft guns.
In addition to missile systems and ammunition, Kyiv has asked for 1,000 mine-resistant vehicles, 200 tracked vehicles, 30 armoured mine-clearing machines, 20 to 30 armoured engineering vehicles of the WiSENT type, and 200 off-road vehicles designated for special forces operations.
To enhance counter-drone capabilities, Ukraine is also seeking 1,000 GPS jammers and 200 mobile ground radar units.
As of now, it remains unclear how the German government has responded to this extensive weapons request.
