A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck north of Indonesia's Sumatra island.
Axar.az reports, citing foreign media, that according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 163 kilometers.
It should be noted that the quake followed a powerful magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck off the Indonesian coast on the morning of August 15.
