On May 29, at around 10:10 a.m., during mine and unexploded ordnance clearance operations carried out by engineering units of the Azerbaijani Army in the direction of the Istisu settlement of the Kalbajar district, an Azerbaijani serviceman, Khudaverdi Hasan Sadigov, was injured in his left leg after stepping on an anti-personnel mine planted by Armenians, the Ministry of Defense told APA.
The serviceman received immediate first aid and was evacuated to a nearby military hospital for specialized examination and treatment.
