The National Hydrometeorological Service has issued yellow and orange warnings regarding windy weather conditions expected in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in most regions, on December 31 and January 1-2.
Axar.az reports that the warning states:
"In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, Salyan, Neftchala, Hajigabul, Gobustan, Sheki, Oguz, Gabala, Goychay, Khizi, Ismayilli, Kelbajar, Naftalan, Goranboy, Dashkesan, in accordance with the orange warning, northwesterly winds will blow, the wind speed will increase to 20.8-28.4 m/s.
In Shabran, Khachmaz, Guba, Gusar, Siyazan, Gazakh, Agstafa, Tovuz, Shamkir, Samukh, Balaken, Zagatala, Gakh, Kurdamir, Yevlakh, Barda, Tartar, Sabirabad, Shirvan, Fuzuli, Zangilan, Lachin, Bilasuvar, Lerik, Yardimli, Lankaran, Masalli, Astara, Jalilabad, Mingachevir, Agdash, Jabrayil, Ujar, In Zardab, Agjabedi, Khojavend, Agsu, Shamakhi, Ganja, Gadabay, and Goygol, a west wind will blow in accordance with the yellow warning, with a wind speed of 13.9-20.7 m/s."
