Following an Iranian drone attack on Nakhchivan, four people sought medical care at facilities in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, Sahib Abuzarov, head of the emergency department at Nakhchivan Hospital, said.
He noted that all patients received primary medical care and are in stable condition, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“Two have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries, and the other two with blunt back trauma. They are currently in the appropriate hospital wards, and treatment is ongoing,” he added.
On March 5, drones launched from Iranian territory struck targets in Nakhchivan. One drone hit the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, while another fell near a school in the village of Shekerabad.
In response to the incident, Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilu, was summoned to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
