Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, to discuss regional stability and maritime cooperation.
Axar.az reports, citing the Pakistani Foreign Ministry’s X account, during the call, the two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and ongoing developments.
Dar emphasized the need for de-escalation, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path for lasting peace. He also underscored the importance of an end to all attacks and hostilities.
Additionally, Dar expressed his gratitude to Araghchi for allowing Pakistani vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
"I am pleased to share a great news that the Government of Iran has agreed to allow 20 more ships under the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz; two ships will cross the Strait daily," he wrote on X.
This follows Iran's recent decision to grant passage to 20 Pakistani ships through the strategic waterway.
