A fire has been recorded in Sevastopol in a building that, according to analysis by ASTRA, is linked to the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s naval aviation, following a Ukrainian attack.

According to the report, traces of a major fire were found in a building located at 37 Gogol Street. The location was identified based on photographs taken by eyewitnesses and published by the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind.” Historically, this address has housed the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet’s naval aviation (formerly the fleet’s air force).

Local authorities reported that the city was subjected to a combined attack using various aerial assets and, preliminarily, Storm Shadow missiles. It is claimed that one of the strikes damaged an administrative building in the Gogol Street area that had not been in use for a long time.

According to “Crimean Wind,” after the main headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet was struck by Storm Shadow missiles in September 2023, the Russian military began using the naval aviation headquarters as a primary command centre.

In September 2023, Ukraine attacked the headquarters building of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol with Storm Shadow missiles.
