Iranian president says communication with supreme leader increased

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said communication with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has intensified, adding that the country's leadership continues to make decisions in line with his guidance despite his absence from public view.

Pezeshkian made it clear that all major actions continue to be coordinated under his direction, Caliber.Az reports, citing The Guardian.

"Now, with increased communication and greater access to our beloved leader, all actions are organised according to his guidelines," Pezeshkian noted during a public event.

Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public since the outbreak of the US-Israeli war against Iran in late February.

He assumed the role of supreme leader after his father was killed in US-Israeli strikes in Tehran on February 28 and has since communicated only through written statements released by state media.
