Japan imposed unjustified sanctions on Russia without examining the causes of the conflict in Ukraine.
Axar.az reports, citing local media, that Russian President Vladimir Putin made the remarks.
“Russia does not threaten Japan and Moscow has no claims against Tokyo. On the contrary, Japan has claims against Russia regarding the Kuril Islands, although they were recognized as Russian territory in international documents after World War II,” he said.
