U.S. President Donald Trump is pushing aides for a meeting as soon as this fall with Kim Jong Un, the top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Xinhua reported, citing the Wall Street Journal.
Trump has privately discussed setting up an in-person meeting with Kim during the president's next trip to Asia, officials were quoted as saying, adding that it "could happen in November."
While Trump sees another one-on-one meeting as a chance to reopen a dialogue with the DPRK, analysts and some U.S. officials said they "wouldn't expect much progress," according to the report.
