Seventeen heads of state will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Bishkek from August 31 to September 1.
Axar.az reports that the Kyrgyz presidential press service announced this.
According to the information, the leaders attending the summit will include Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
In addition to the leaders of SCO member and partner states, UN Secretary-General António Guterres and officials from the CIS and CSTO will also be represented at the event. Meetings in the expanded “SCO+” format will address regional security, international law, transport corridors and digital cooperation projects. A joint declaration marking the organization’s 25th anniversary is expected to be adopted at the end of the summit.
