Russian President Vladimir Putin told journalists on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit that recognizing Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan could bring a number of positive consequences for Armenia.
Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that he suggested that the situation could allow Armenia to enter a new phase of development free from conflicts.
“This situation allows us to turn the page and move forward without any conflicts. To resettle people in a new place of residence, unblock infrastructure, start a new life in the economy, open borders to investment, and so on. There are, in fact, quite a few advantages,” he said.
