Assistant to President: We have received an enquiry by our diplomatic corps regarding an announcement for a visit Nakhchivan

Khankendi, September 11, AZERTAC

“Regarding the mine action agenda, it would be a remiss if I don't mention contribution and support of our friendly partners in this field. And let me highlight, particularly, all the European Union, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and many other countries. They will be our friends and partners in this endeavor,” said Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, as he addressed the representatives of diplomatic corps at the Khankendi Cultural Center.

The Assistant to the President noted that it is a humanitarian gesture, adding that such a support to Azerbaijan's mine clearance operations is also an investment to the future, and the future of the security of Europe and many parts of the world.

“Because Azerbaijan gains also its unique capabilities and unique experience. We think that in the future we will also be in a capacity to contribute to the goal of mine action. But we still have a challenge, and it continues, and our mine operators around the field are doing their part to clean the area and restore it for civilian use. Once again, I thank you, and I also welcome new ambassadors who have joined our team. Because we organise such visits in a regular manner. Our diplomatic corps is also regularly getting updated. It's a diplomatic life, and we know that. We are looking forward to the experience of our new ambassadors, because it's their first visit to Garabagh,” Hajiyev emphasized.
