Russian President Vladimir Putin could meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the APEC summit, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Axar.az reports, citing Vesti, that Peskov said the summit would provide an opportunity for the leaders to meet, although it was unclear whether they would hold a trilateral meeting or separate bilateral talks.
“This will be a good opportunity for the leaders to cross paths in one way or another on the sidelines of the summit. Whether this will be a separate trilateral meeting or bilateral meetings is difficult to say. However, it is already clear that both Putin and President Xi have agreed to meet in China. We will see, but it can now be said with certainty that such an opportunity will be presented to them,” Peskov said.
The APEC summit is scheduled to take place on November 18-19 in Shenzhen, China.
