Real Madrid sign Yan Diomande from Leipzig in record deal

Real Madrid have officially announced the signing of Ivorian forward Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig, with the 19-year-old agreeing to a contract that runs until June 2033.

Axar.az reports, citing Marca, that Real Madrid reached an agreement with Leipzig for a fee of €125 million, which could rise to €140 million with performance-related bonuses.

The deal makes Diomande the most expensive signing in the club's history.

The Ivory Coast international joined Leipzig from Leganes only a year ago for €20 million but quickly established himself as one of the Bundesliga's standout players, scoring 13 goals and providing nine assists last season. He was also the league's leading player for successful dribbles.

Diomande, who can operate on both wings but mainly plays on the right flank, had attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain before Real Madrid moved to secure his services.

The teenager becomes the sixth signing of Jose Mourinho's summer rebuild at Real Madrid, following the arrivals of Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Marc Cucurella, Denzel Dumfries and Espi.

His arrival increases competition in attack, with players including Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Endrick already competing for places in the squad.
