The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Centre (UKMTO) announced an armed attack on a vessel in the Gulf of Aden.
The incident occurred approximately 70 nautical miles southwest of Aden, Yemen, Caliber.Az reports.
“A vessel was approached and hailed by one white skiff, with five persons onboard. This was followed by an exchange of small arms fire. Two additional skiffs were also reported in the vicinity. Authorities are investigating. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO,” the agency said.
