The U20 Wrestling World Championships continue in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
Axar.az reports that the first medalists in Greco-Roman wrestling were determined on the second day of competition.
Tural Ahmadov (63 kg) gave no chance to Finland’s Matias Arpiainen in the repechage bout, winning 8-0. In the evening session, Ahmadov defeated Ecuador’s Klizman Velis by a narrow 2-1 margin to claim the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, Javidan Nehmatov (77 kg) faced Armenia’s Samvel Terteryan in the final. After losing on criteria following a 1-1 draw, Nehmatov was awarded the silver medal.
