Two U.S. vessels and other ships attempting to pass through the restricted area of the Strait of Hormuz were targeted.
Axar.az reports according to the Tasnim News Agency, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement that in response to the aggression of the U.S. military, which attacked five Iranian oil tankers in the Persian Gulf, the IRGC Navy targeted two U.S. vessels and eight oil tankers in the area, inflicting significant damage on them.
In addition, 10 vessels that violated the restrictions and attempted to pass through the prohibited and unsafe area of the Strait of Hormuz were also targeted.
It should be noted that, following CENTCOM’s destruction of five Iranian oil tankers, the IRGC also attacked maintenance and technical facilities, preparation and deployment hangars, and aircraft shelters for U.S. F-35, F-16 and F-15 fighter jets in Jordan.
