A wildfire has erupted in a forested area near the Beyobası district of Gazipaşa, a town in Türkiye’s southern Antalya province.

Strong winds caused the fire to spread rapidly across the region, Caliber.Az reports via TRT Haber.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the blaze. Firefighting teams from the Antalya Regional Forestry Directorate were quickly dispatched to the area. Three helicopters, eight water tankers, and dozens of firefighters have been mobilised to control the flames.

One home was evacuated as a safety precaution, and nearby avocado and olive orchards have suffered fire damage.

Firefighting efforts remain ongoing, with crews working to contain the wildfire and prevent further destruction.
