So far, residents of the Neftachala Industrial District have sold 230 million manat worth of products, of which 1.8 million manat is exported, the Economic Zones Development Agency told APA-Economics.
It was noted that the resident of the Neftachala Industrial District, “Gedik Kaynak” LLC, which is under the management of the Economic Zones Development Agency, has once again exported 100 tons of electrode products to Turkmenistan. In total, the company will send 600 tons of products to Turkmenistan in stages.
According to the information, the company was registered as a resident of the Neftachala Industrial District in 2021, and the enterprise is currently producing electrodes in 8 sizes, including 2 types. In the next stage, the enterprise is expected to start producing stainless steel and aluminum electrodes.
The monthly production capacity of the enterprise, which is the only electrode producer in Azerbaijan, is 330 tons. The enterprise, with an investment value of 7.5 million manat, has created more than 20 permanent jobs.
Neftchala Industrial District is the first industrial district established in the country. Thus, the Industrial District was established by the Decree of the Head of State dated February 2, 2015. The Industrial District has been operating since September 2017. Its area is 10 hectares, and the territory of the District is fully provided for the use of entrepreneurs. The main areas of activity of the Industrial District are fishing, the food industry, automobile industry, feed production, etc.
6 business entities with an investment portfolio of more than 63 million manat have been registered as residents in the district, 5 of which are operating.
About 50 million manats have been invested in the work done by entrepreneurs, and more than 300 permanent jobs have been created.
In addition to being sold in the domestic market, the manufactured products were also exported to Iraq, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, etc., under the brand name "Made in Azerbaijan". Products such as fish feed and electrodes produced in the Industrial District were mainly exported.
