On June 19, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with German Ambassador Ralf Horlemann, as he concluded his diplomatic mission in the country.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan–Germany relations. The officials stressed the importance of enhancing political dialogue, as well as cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, energy security, green energy, transport, communications, education, healthcare, culture, and humanitarian affairs.
The meeting highlighted the role of reciprocal visits and high-level contacts in the development of bilateral relations, as well as the importance of further strengthening cooperation, including among business communities.
The Azerbaijani foreign minister briefed the outgoing diplomat on the post-conflict situation in the region, the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process, and Azerbaijan’s ongoing restoration efforts in its liberated territories.
The discussions also emphasized the outcomes of the COP29 Conference hosted in Baku in advancing the global climate agenda, and reviewed cooperation in renewable energy and the green energy transition.
The meeting further addressed other regional and international issues of mutual concern.
