A ceremony to raise the national flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held at the headquarters of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) in Astana.
The ceremony was organized on the occasion of Azerbaijan's admission to the IOFS as a full member state. This event was the first flag-raising ceremony in the history of the organization at the IOFS headquarters and laid the foundation for a new institutional tradition.
Azerbaijan officially joined the IOFS on May 6, 2026.
The ceremony was attended by IOFS Director General, Ambassador Berik Aryn, and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kazakhstan Aghalar Atamoghlanov.
