“Through targeted state programs, Azerbaijan has prioritized sectors with the greatest potential for economic growth and private investment,” Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov stated at the Azerbaijan-Slovakia Business Forum.
The Minister noted that these include initiatives spanning mining and metallurgy, digital development, agriculture, and tourism. Some of these initiatives are already being implemented, while others are in the execution phase. The objective is to promote industrial development, enhance competitiveness, and attract private capital.
He noted that it is particularly gratifying that Slovak companies show a strong interest in contributing to the restoration of our liberated territories. The reconstruction of Bash Garvand village in the Aghdam district based on the modern "Smart City" and "Smart Village" concepts is an excellent example of the Azerbaijan-Slovakia partnership: "I would like to note with satisfaction that this will not be the last construction project to be implemented in the liberated territories with the participation of Slovak architects and construction companies. However, I believe the potential of our cooperation is far broader and much greater than this."
