Fuel prices rise in Montenegro amid global oil market surge

Fuel prices in Montenegro will increase by 8% for petrol and 14% for diesel starting midnight on July 21, according to the country's Ministry of Energy and Mining.

The ministry said the rise was driven by a global increase in petroleum product prices amid the escalation of the conflict in the Strait of Hormuz, which has pushed up oil and fuel prices on international markets, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

The ministry's data showed the retail price of EUROSUPER 98 petrol will rise by 7 euro cents to €1.75 per litre.

EUROSUPER 95 petrol will increase by 8 euro cents to €1.72 per litre, while diesel fuel will rise by 14 euro cents to €1.81 per litre and heating oil by 12 euro cents to €1.71 per litre.
