WHO warehouse in Ukraine’s Dnipro destroyed in attack

A World Health Organization (WHO) humanitarian warehouse in Ukraine’s Dnipro was struck and destroyed on Friday.

Axar.az reports that WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced this on his X account.

"At this time, no casualties have been reported. A WHO staff member and drivers had been on site earlier in the day supporting the evacuation of supplies. The team had succeeded in evacuating 130 of approximately 300 pallets and left the area before the attack,” he stated.

He condemned the attack, stressing that healthcare must be protected during armed conflicts.

"The warehouse held humanitarian medical supplies intended for frontline health facilities — primarily WHO emergency health supplies. I cannot say loudly enough: attacks on health care MUST STOP. Otherwise, people are deprived of lifesaving healthcare. Even wars have rules. One of those is that health must be protected," he wrote.
