Netanyahu declared cancer-free after early-stage diagnosis

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been declared cancer-free following successful treatment for early-stage prostate cancer.

Axar.az reports, citing Jerusalem Post, the 76-year-old leader initially underwent a routine surgical procedure in December 2024 for benign prostate enlargement at Hadassah Medical Center.

A follow-up scan later detected a very small lesion, which was subsequently diagnosed as early-stage prostate cancer.

Doctors confirmed that the condition was treated successfully with targeted therapy, with no evidence of spread. Medical officials involved in his care said follow-up tests showed the complete disappearance of the lesion, describing the outcome as “fully successful.”

Netanyahu said the diagnosis and recovery were kept from public disclosure for approximately two months during wartime, arguing that he did not want the information to be used by Iran for propaganda purposes.

“Today I can say I am in good health and excellent physical condition,” he said in a statement.

The announcement comes alongside Netanyahu’s annual health report, which confirms he remains in stable condition following treatment and continued monitoring.
