Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will travel to Qatar on July 14, the Turkish Presidency has announced.
The visit comes following the death of former Qatari emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
Sheikh Hamad, who had been undergoing medical treatment for an extended period, died on July 13 at the age of 74.
He was buried at Lusail Cemetery in Doha, while Qatar declared four days of official mourning.
Sheikh Hamad served as emir of Qatar from 1995 to 2013.
In 2013, he handed power to his son, the current emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
