Azerbaijan's Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) and the Trade Union Tourism Enterprise of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday to expand cooperation in health resort treatment and tourism.
During a meeting at the ATUC headquarters, Azerbaijani representatives outlined the confederation's work in protecting labour rights, promoting the health of trade union members and organising recreational programmes, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
They also presented the E-AHIK electronic voucher booking system and the activities of the Kurort Tourist Information Centre and the Tourism and Excursions Council.
The Kyrgyz delegation was also briefed on the work of Kurort CJSC, including the reconstruction and digitalisation of its health and tourism facilities.
Kubanychbek Kanybekov, Director General of the Trade Union Tourism Enterprise, said the delegation had visited ATUC health resorts and gained useful experience from their management practices and services.
The memorandum provides for the exchange of expertise, joint initiatives and expanded cooperation in the health resort and tourism sectors.
