Russian Minister of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, held talks in Baku with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Emergency Situations, Kamaladdin Heydarov.
“The head of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, held a bilateral meeting with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Emergency Situations, Kamaladdin Heydarov. The Russian minister expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for organizing the evacuation of Russian citizens from Iran during the recent Iran-Israel conflict,” the press service said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
The ministers discussed bilateral cooperation between the emergency agencies, noting Azerbaijan’s contribution to the development of the International Civil Defence Organization, the 58th session of which is being held in Baku.
“Joint work in this area demonstrates the priority of the noble cause of rescue and mutual assistance in international cooperation among emergency services,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations press service added.
