Azerbaijani champions Sabah’s opponents in the league phase of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League will be known today.
Axar.az reports that the draw ceremony will take place in Monaco, starting at 8:00 p.m. Baku time.
Before the draw, the composition of the pots containing the 36 teams participating in the competition was determined. Sabah, coached by Valdas Dambrauskas, have been placed in Pot 4.
Pot 1: PSG (France), Bayern Munich (Germany), Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid (all Spain), Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City (all England), Inter Milan (Italy).
Pot 2: Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Roma (Italy), Sporting CP, Porto (both Portugal), Manchester United, Aston Villa (both England), Club Brugge (Belgium), Real Betis (Spain), PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands).
Pot 3: Feyenoord (Netherlands), Lille (France), Bodo/Glimt (Norway), Napoli (Italy), RB Leipzig (Germany), Villarreal (Spain), Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine), Galatasaray, Fenerbahce (both Turkiye).
Pot 4: Slavia Prague (Czech Republic), Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia), Stuttgart (Germany), AEK Athens (Greece), LASK (Austria), Como (Italy), Lens (France), Viking (Norway), Sabah (Azerbaijan).
The league-phase matches of the UEFA Champions League will be played from September 8, 2026, to January 27, 2027. The tournament final will take place in Madrid on June 5, 2027.
