FIFA President Gianni Infantino has arrived in Baku on an unannounced and private visit.
Axar.az reports that the purpose of the visit is to inspect preparations for the U-15 World Cup, which will be held in Baku in the final week of October.
Infantino first visited the football pitches being built in the Hovsan settlement today.
He inspected 10 pitches that are being prepared for use within a short period. The FIFA president was reportedly impressed by the work completed in roughly two months.
Infantino expressed satisfaction with the progress of the organizational preparations and is expected to hold several more meetings before concluding his visit.
Infantino was accompanied by AFFA officials during his visit to Hovsan.
