Putin signs law allowing drone neutralization

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law expanding the powers of customs authorities to counter unmanned aerial systems.

Axar.az reports that the document was published on Russia’s official legal information portal.

Under the new law, customs officers are allowed to jam or manipulate drone control signals, interfere with control systems, and damage or destroy unmanned devices.

The measures apply to all types of automated unmanned systems, including aerial, underwater, surface, and unmanned land vehicles.

The law will come into force 30 days after its official publication.
