Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan on April 28, according to reports from the Mehr news agency.
The agency notes that the visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and friendly ties, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
According to the publication, Iran, by contributing to the reduction of regional tensions, could facilitate the resumption of the Julfa-Nakhchivan railway connection and enhance trust between Baku and Yerevan.
In addition, the development of cross-border markets, cooperation within regional organizations, and dialogue on strategic issues, such as the legal status of the Caspian Sea, serve as the foundation for strengthening bilateral relations.
