Hamas transfers seven Israeli captives to Red Cross under strict secrecy

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed that the Red Cross has received seven Israeli hostages handed over by Hamas. All seven hostages are being transferred voluntarily.

According to Israeli media, Hamas has banned any filming of the handover process.

Earlier reports indicated that the first group of released hostages includes Eitan Abraham Mor, Gali and Ziv Berman, Matan Angerst, Omri Miran, and Alon Ohel. In addition, Guy Gilboa-Dalal was also freed.

The hostages had spent more than 730 days in captivity, after being among the approximately 250 people abducted from southern Israel and taken into Gaza during Hamas’s deadly attack on October 7, 2023.
